Aluxe Designer Anthony Guthmiller
Anthony Guthmiller

The Story

Anthony Guthmiller, the creative behind ALUXE doesn't sit and wait for things to happen. He is an energy accelerator and when he notices a design trend he gets more than inspired, he gets creating. Never just satisfied with a good idea, Anthony's passion pushes him to imagine "what if" and execute extraordinary design work for his line of fashion accessories. And Anthony's interior design aesthetic leads to extraordinary vintage finds of furniture, bar ware, lighting, and office items for his shop ALUXE HOME.

It all started when Anthony was completing a hand embroidered quilt for his Mom, Alice. Anthony got the idea to embellish vintage men's ties with hand embroidery. He added Swarovski crystals and the line took off. He quickly expanded his line to up-cycled, hand-crafted creations made from vintage ear rings, watches, trinkets, retro broaches, crystals and art items. The collection now includes: tie bars & clips, jeweled hair clips & bands, cuff links, cocktail rings and jeweled cuffs. Also unique and stylish ottomans and chairs  fashioned by using vintage men's ties.

Anthony's passion for uncovering antique and vintage treasures led him to open ALUXE HOME at the Pasadena Antique Center. Here you will find cool, distinctive home and office furniture, vintage bar ware, lighting, art and gifts. Recent finds include accessories by Johnathon Adler, Dior, Givenchy, Lagerfied, Armani, Duchamp, YSL, Albert Weiss & Karl Eisenberg.
